10 October Binge Worthy TV Shows

For us, October is all about being and feeling cosy, and that includes the TV series that we choose to watch.

October is the perfect stay at home month. It's perfect for snuggling under your favourite blanket, light a few autumn scented candles, sipping on a chai latte and binge watching some cosy TV series.

October is full of the classics, but with so many streaming platforms, new series are constantly being made.

Lets check out some of our favourite Fall TV shows. We'll include a mixture of cosy, witchcraft and supernatural...


Gilmore Girls


The series is based around friendship and family and centers around Lorelai Gilmore and her teenage daughter, Rory. They reside in a small, aesthetically pleasing town called Stars Hollow, a small town that gives off the ultimate cosy vibes. Lorelai owns the town's bed & breakfast, the Dragonfly Inn, with her best friend, Sookie, who is the chef. It shares the ups and downs of family life between Lorelai and Rory, and the relationship between Lorelai and her rich and slightly eccentric parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore. They share weekly dinners together and let's just say there is usually lots of drama. Expect drama, comedy, lots of coffee drinking, sweaters and lots of cosiness.


The Vampire Diaries


Love struck feuding Vampire brothers, Damon and Stefan fight to win the affection and love of teenage girl, Elena. Based in a small town filled with the dramas of teenage life, and the secret lives of Vampires that live amongst them.


Virgin River Mel, a nurse practitioner, moves from LA to a remote northern California town searching for a fresh start. Surprised by who and what she finds, she settles into her new life with new friends and a new romance with local bar restaurant owner, Jack Sheridan. This show is based in a cosy mountain town and gives all the cosy feels.


Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina


The story of teenage witch Sabrina Spellman. An adaptation of 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch', this dark coming-of-age story shares in the horror and the occult. Sabrina Spellman struggles to reconcile her dual nature, half-witch & half-mortal, all while fighting against the evil forces that threaten her and her family, including aunts Hilda and Zelda. Witchcraft, horror and a touch of Halloween spookiness.


The Watcher


A family are excited to buy the house of their dreams, however once they move in they are tautened by threatening letters, strange neighbours and a series of threatening events.

A series that will keep you guessing the whole way through.


Stranger Things


Based in the 80's, a group of young friends in Indiana witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. Searching for answers, the friends unravel a series of strange and unusual mysteries. A story of friendship, adventure and the unknown - plus some cool 80's fashion. A touch of darkness with supernatural vibes, making it a perfect watch this October.


The Haunting of Hill House / The Haunting of Bly Manor


If you're looking for something a little spookier and scarier this October, then these are the shows for you. A ghostly duo that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. A definite binge worthy show. A show that you're desperate to know what happens.

The Haunting of Hill House was the first in this duo, followed by The Haunting Of Bly Manor, both equally as good and scary as the other.

The Haunting of Hill House is based on siblings who as children grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. As adults, they are forced back together and must finally confront the ghosts of their past. While some of those ghosts lurk in their minds, others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is based on a young au pair. After the tragic death of an au pair, Henry hires a young American nanny to care for his orphaned niece and nephew who are orphaned and reside at Bly Manor. They live with their chef, grounds-keeper and housekeeper. The new au pair will soon discover that dead doesn't mean gone.


The Walking Dead


After a zombie apocalypse, survivors struggle to stay alive. Evading the undead, survivors must search for safety and stay alive. Grappling with the struggles of who to trust and fighting with rival groups, difficult choices must be made to stay alive. A story of horror and tragedy and the relationships of friends which turn to become a family.


Archive 81


An archivist takes a job restoring damaged videotapes, but soon finds himself being pulled into a dark mystery, which involves a missing director and a mysterious cult that they were documenting.

A supernatural series that will have you guessing the whole way through.


Bates Motel


The story of a mother, Norma and her son, Norman Bates. They purchase a motel and soon Norman's life spins out of control when his mental health seriously deteriorates. Loved by his mother, Norma, she tries to get him the help that he desperately needs, and protects him from those around him.

A fantastic psychological horror that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.


So there you have it. Our top 10 TV series to binge watch this October. We really enjoyed them all, however if we had to choose just one then it would probably have to be, The Haunting Of Hill House.
