For us, Christmas truly is the most magical time of the year. Everything about it is just perfect and we can't deny that we love Christmas food and gifts. If you do too, then why not combine the two? Edible Christmas gifts were something we only thought of recently and we're so glad we did. They're fun, delicious and everyone will love them, plus they're perfect presents to give to a foodie. Whether you want sweet or savoury, there's something here for everyone. So if you're interested, here are 7 homemade edible Christmas gift ideas!

Starting off with one of our favourites, this gingerbread hot chocolate powder is so good and will save you more money than buying regular hot chocolate powder (it's also far healthier). It's extremely quick and simple to make and you'll find it hard not to become addicted to it's sweet, comforting flavours. Be sure to top your hot chocolates with marshmallows and whipped cream and maybe dunk a few mini gingerbread men in!

The perfect gift for any gin enthusiast, this gingerbread flavoured liqueur is a lovely accompaniment for your Christmas dinner. It tastes like warm and cosy in a bottle and we just can't get enough of it. Luckily it's super easy to make up, just note it needs 3 - 4 days to steep. When it's ready however, we guarantee you'll be hooked from the first sip!

An amazing treat to snack on, anyone will be happy with this! The candied walnuts taste like heaven and are made even better with the addition of cranberries and white chocolate. Enjoy them as a side with something else or just on their own, they're going to be delicious either way.

If you know any charcuterie board lovers, this will be a perfect gift for them. This caramelised red onion chutney is a great accompaniment to crackers and cheese and best of all, it can last up to 4 weeks in the fridge. It's simple to create and makes a pretty large batch, so you can save some for yourself too! If you decide to use this chutney for any Christmas day charcuterie boards, you're not going to be disappointed!

Out of all the gifts on this list, this is definitely one of our favourites. This gingerbread syrup tastes just as good as you'd expect and has so many uses. We put it in cocktails and coffees, on pancakes and ice cream and have it with frappes. It can very easily be incorporated into a multitude of festive recipes and is a perfect gift for someone with a sweet tooth.

No one could turn down a sweet or savoury shortbread biscuit, especially one as good as this. They taste cheesy, have a slight kick of spice and pair perfectly with our caramelised red onion chutney. They're perfect to have with a festive cheese board too and can also be frozen to use whenever needed. We guarantee you'll love them as much as we do and won't be able to resist them!

Finally, we have this super soft, indulgent, gingerbread chocolate fudge. It's a good base recipe for any kind of fudge, whether you flavour it orange or peppermint, or top it with crushed candy canes, your favourite sweets, or crushed up cookies. It can be customised to suit every pallette. This gingerbread and chocolate version however is perfect to snack on when you're watching a Christmas film or to serve at a party. Or you could send it to a fudge fanatic as a tasty gift! No matter what you do with it, it'll be loved by all.

So if you can't think of any presents to send someone this year, then maybe one of these edible gifts will suffice.. If you decide to, be sure to tag us on Instagram, we love seeing your creations!
