Carrot & Cream Cheese Pupcakes

I can't be the only one who feels a little guilty when I'm indulging into a baked treat and my dogs are all there, staring into my soul with their cute little puppy eyes, desperate for just a crumb. So we decided to make up a special treat just for them and they must have enjoyed them because they scoffed them down in seconds!

We're sure your canine companions are going to love these dog cupcakes aka pupcakes and who knows, maybe they'll let you have a little piece too!

INGREDIENTS

12 servings


For the cupcakes


  • 2x ripe bananas

  • 150g of peanut butter

  • 1x medium carrot (grated)

  • 100g of plain or wholemeal flour

  • 2x medium eggs

  • 75g of honey

  • 75g of oats

  • 125ml of water


For the topping


  • 1 1/2 tsp of cream cheese per cupcake

  • 12 dog biscuits


METHOD


For the cupcakes


Preheat the oven to 180C

Add all of the ingredients to a freestanding mixer and mix together well until everything is fully combined.

Now add them to your silicone cupcake holders and bake for 15 - 20 minutes, by which time they should have some colour on top.

Remove from the oven and allow to fully cool before adding your toppings.


For the topping


Add the cream cheese to the cupcakes, then finish by placing your dog's favourite biscuit on top.

Serve to your dogs and let them tuck in!
