Christmas Movie Night Snack - Candied Nut & Popcorn Mix

Get into your pj's, grab a cosy blanket and let's snuggle down for a Christmas movie night.

Movie nights are one of our family's favourite thing to do, especially at Christmas.

Cosy nights in during the festive season just hit differently. The cosy blankets, the Christmas tree, decorations, and the twinkling lights bring a real touch of magic, and we absolutely LOVE IT!

So, once we've decided on a film, which at times can be challenging, especially when each child wants to watch a different film 😂, its time to grab some snacks.

Snacks are usually a must when we're all sat together watching a film, and this Christmas we have created a seriously delicious snack combo;

CANDIED FRUIT N NUT CHOCOLATE POPCORN MIX

Bit of a mouthful, we know, but that's what we've gone with...

Super indulgent, and let's face it, if you can't be indulgent at Christmas, when can you...

A special time of the year calls for special treats.

Apart from the candied nuts, there is no real recipe. You can tweak what we've done and add your favourite chocolate and dried fruit. You can also pick any of your favourite nuts to candy.

We went with a mix of;

• Candied Walnuts

• White Chocolate

• Dried Cranberries

• Salted Popcorn

Some other flavour combos we think would be fantastic also, is;

• Candied Peanuts

• Reece's Peanut butter Cup

• Salted Popcorn

• Candied Pecans

• Chocolate M & M's

• Dried Cherries or Cranberries

• Popcorn

• Candies Pistachios

• Freeze Dried Raspberries

• White Chocolate

• Salted Popcorn

Ooh! Think we're going to have to try the Pistachio and raspberry one next...

Once the candied nuts are made, it is assembled and ready to eat within minutes. A great little tip is to prepare your candied nuts the day before. That way, everything is ready to just add to your bowl, or Popcorn buckets - simple!
