These marshmallow snowmen are just to cute, and we had so much fun making them.
A fun, and festive craft to elevate all of your Christmas hot chocolates this festive season - the whole family will enjoy making them.
The perfect edible Christmas craft to do on a wet and, cosy afternoon. So, so simple and just two base ingredients;
Pretzel sticks
Medium sized Marshmallows
The only other ingredient we used was some food colouring to draw on the eyes, mouth, and buttons, which is totally optional. It was also all that we had to hand to decorate them.
If you wanted to decorate them more, then you could perhaps add some;
Iced sugared eyes
Mini smarties for the buttons and mouth
Strawberry laces for a little scarf
We're not going to lie, at times they were a little tricky to assemble, especially if you pushed the pretzel too hard into the marshmallows. We had a few breakages. Not to worry though, as we used these broken pretzels as the arms, and legs.
Adding the legs were more for practicality, rather than for aesthetics purposes. We found it the best way to balance the snowman on the mug.
These are great to make-ahead and store in an airtight container, so the next time you fancy a hot chocolate, you have an adorable snowman topper to add.
They are good for up to one week in an airtight container, or are simple enough, and fun to make when needed, especially on a wet and cosy afternoon.
To use, simply prepare your mug of hot chocolate and then pop your snowman topper into your drink and watch it melt - it tastes so good.
Alternatively just dip it into your hot chocolate and eat, or honestly it tastes great just as it is and not dipped.
