Fudgy Chocolate Snickers Bark

Looking for a fuss-free dessert / sweet treat recipe that you can just toss in the freezer? Then this Fudgy Chocolate Snickers Bark will be the perfect recipe for you.

Eat it straight from the freezer for a tougher, more toffee like consistency, or let it thaw out for a minute or two for a softer fudgy texture. We like it both ways. It's perfect to have during a movie night and tastes divine.

Chocolate, peanuts and doce de leite make for a truly heavenly combination that's sure to leave you wanting more...

So without further ado, let's get on with the recipe!

INGREDIENTS

  • 300g of Milk Chocolate - broken into squares

  • 2x tbsp of Butter

  • 1x heaped tbsp of Honey

  • 1x tbsp of hot water

  • 3/4 cup of Peanuts (un-salted)

  • Approx 2x heaped tbsp of Doce de Leite or Caramel

METHOD

Line a baking sheet with a silicone sheet and put to one side.

In a medium sized saucepan add the chocolate, honey, water and butter. Melt on a low heat, stirring frequently. Once fully melted, smooth and glossy, remove from the heat.

Pour onto the silicone sheet and evenly spread out with a silicone spatula. Do not spread too thin, roughly to 0.5 cm.

Now evenly top with the peanuts.

Dollop on the Doce de Leite and using a toothpick or knife, lightly swirl it.

Pop it into the freezer for at least 1 hour, before removing from the silicone sheet and cutting into your desired sized pieces.

We like to leave it for a minute when fresh out of the freezer before eating, because we enjoy the softer, fudgy texture.

When it's eaten straight from the freezer it has more of a tougher toffee consistency.

Serve and enjoy.

Keep it stored in the freezer.
