If you love porridge, but are trying to avoid oats, then this is the recipe for you. It still has the same texture as normal porridge and is far healthier for you, as it's packed with omega-3 fatty acids. We like to pair it with a variety of toppings, such as honey, jam, cinnamon, berries, fruits, nuts and more. It's also so quick and easy to make and only uses a few basic ingredients you probably already have on you. For another alternative porridge recipe, click here. Anyway, without further ado, let's get on with the recipe!

INGREDIENTS
Approx 3 servings
1x cup of Chia
1x cup of Flaxseed
3x cups of Milk
1x heaped tbsp of Cocoa Powder
1x heaped tbsp of Honey
1x tsp of Cinnamon (optional)
METHOD
Start by adding the milk to a small saucepan and turning it to a medium heat.
After it's heated a little, add all of the other ingredients and keep it on the heat until it thickens to your preferred 'porridge' consistency, making sure to stir it frequently.
When it reaches your desired consistency, simply remove it from the heat, transfer to your serving bowl and top with your favourite ingredients, enjoy!
