Updated: Apr 15

Want to indulge in the most heavenly healthy cookies ever? Of course you do!

Finding a healthy dessert recipe that actually tastes good can be very tricky, it can be hard for a naturally sweetened treat to hit the spot, but this cookie recipe is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

These cookies contain zero flour and zero unnatural sugar. The best part is that you can make them from things you probably already have in your kitchen, no fancy ingredients required.

So lets get into what you will need to make these divine cookies.

These measurements make 9 cookies, you can double or triple the measurements to make your desired amount.

Fantastic as a healthy sweet treat for meal-prep.

Happy Cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 3 Mashed bananas

  • 1 Cup of peanut butter

  • 1/2 Of Maple syrup or molasses work

  • 1 Cup of oats

  • Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste

  • 90 g Of chocolate chips or more if you desire

  • 9x pecans for decorating

Lets see how you can make them

Method

1.Start by preheating your oven to 270 C, then line whatever baking tray you are using so its ready for the cookies.

2. Mash 3 bananas with a fork until they turn into a smooth paste, when mashed add them into your mixing bowl.

3. Add 1 cup of peanut butter into your mixing bowl - Store bought is perfectly fine but we made our own homemade peanut butter, check out our post on how you can easily make your own.

4. Then add 1/2 cup of Maple syrup or molasses. Add into your mixing bowl and combine all the ingredients together.

5. Now add your 1 cup of oats into your bowl and mix until combined.

6. Time to add your cinnamon and nutmeg, add as much or as little as you want depending on your preferences.

7. Everyone's favourite part, add as many chocolate chips as your heart desires, you can use white, dark or any chocolate you crave - We used 90g ofmilk chocolate.

8. That's all the ingredients you need, time to mix until everything is evenly combined. The mixture will feel different from traditionall cookie dough, it will be gooey.

9. Evenly scoop the mixture onto your making tray, this mixture does not spread so make sure to slightly flatten them and mould them into your desired shape. We chose to add a pecan on top of each cookie which was a yummy addition.

10. Put them in the oven for around 30 minutes, when they are cooked they will still be soft but don't worry as they will harden when cooling. Now your cookies are ready! Go and enjoy alone, or share with friends and family.
